William Forlander was born to grow up a fisherman. The second boy of the family would often go out with his father and older brother and spend a Sunday on the water fishing for anything they could catch. As they got older, the Forlander brothers and their father would catch their food for dinner or perhaps the next night. It is a tradition that William Forlander and his brother still continue. Fishing will always be apart of their family, the say. It is different from any other activity because you’re trying to outsmart nature, and nature does not like to be outwitted.
Living in Florida all his life, William Forlander knows all the best places to go fresh water fishing. Though not many know that Florida is can be a fresh water paradise for anglers, Forlander always lets people know where the big fish are biting the most. Though Florida seems to have water everywhere, it being a peninsula state, only a handful of the lakes are natural. Of those natural lakes, Lake Trafford in the land of the Immokalee, is the only one available to the public. There are quite a few other man-made rock pits or water retention areas that have fresh water but most are for housing or golfing developments.
Many of the freshwater lakes are fully stocked. Bass, catfish, and panfish are all amongst the available fish waiting for someone to catch them. Just be sure to ask permission before wetting your line in a private lake.
